Part Time Program Information

SCCA supports all forms of Christian education including those who homeschool. SCCA will be offering homeschoolers assistance in teaching the classical method to their children. This will be accomplished through curriculum assistance, summer seminars, classroom observation, and part time classes.

The following information is a brief overview of SCCA's part time program. For more detailed information such as course descriptions and the tuition per class, please download our part time school information packet.

Part time classes to be offered in Fall 2005:

• Latin I and II
• Grammar
• Music Appreciation

Class size is limited to 20 students. Please submit a part time application.

• Minimum class size: 10 students (excluding Latin 2nd/3rd Grade).
• Classes will meet 2-3 times per week (schedule to be determined).
• Part time students will be required to follow all full time policies as set forth in the Parent/Student Handbook.
• All students/parents must be interviewed prior to acceptance into our part time program.

Tuition: Classes conducted in quarters (9 weeks).

Payments will be due monthly (every 4 weeks).

25% of quarterly tuition for specific class is due upon acceptance and is non refundable.

Cost per Class $8-$10 (See example)
Classes conducted 2-3x a week
Books and uniforms not included

Example Cost:
Math class taught 3x a week/27x a quarter @ $10 per class

$270 per quarter

$67.50 (25%) due at registration

Yearly cost for course (4 quarters) = $1080

Part Time Teacher's Biographies:

SIDNEY HENRIQUEZ - Mr. Henriquez is the Headmaster and 2nd /3rd grade teacher at SCCA. He is also a member of Stratford Orthodox Presbyterian Church. Presently in his ninth year of teaching, he spent four years as Headmaster at Keystone Christian School in State College, PA, and two years teaching third grade at Veritas Academy, a Classical Christian school in Lancaster County, PA. He spent his last two summers working as a consultant for Veritas Press, custom designing classical curriculum for schools and homeschools around the country. Mr. Henriquez will be teaching the 2nd and 3rd grades full time, and part time Latin students.

FAITH HENRIQUEZ - Mrs. Henriquez is the music teacher at SCCA. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Geneva College. She has taught 5th & 6th grades at Robinson Township Christian School near Pittsburgh, English as a second language in Tianjin, China, and K - 8 music at Keystone Christian School in State College, PA. She is the wife of SCCA's Headmaster, Sidney Henriquez, and she is the mother of six children.

CHARITY DAWSON - Miss Dawson is currently serving as the first grade teacher at SCCA. Prior to coming to SCCA, Miss Dawson taught Latin at Veritas Academy, a Classical Christian school in Lancaster County, PA. Miss Dawson has studied at Camden County College, Penn State University and the University of North Carolina - Charlotte, where she pursued advanced studies in Latin. She has traveled abroad to study French at France Langue in Nice, France.

MURAL RAO - Mr. Rao has served as an advisor to the SCCA Board since the Summer of 2001. Mr. Rao also serves as an Elder on the Session of Immanuel OPC in West Collingswood, NJ. Mr. Rao earned a BA (Astronomy/Physics) degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University. Mr. Rao has studied at Westminster theological seminary. Currently Mr. Rao serves as a faculty member (Senior Lecturer) in the Electrical Engineering Department of Widener University in Chester, PA, and he also instructs in mathematics at Tall Oaks Classical School in Delaware. Mr. Rao will be teaching Physics, Chemistry, Algebra I & II, Hebrew, Apologetics, Geometry, and Calculus.
